WHAT THE CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY IMPROVEMENT ACT MEANS TO AUDIOBOOKS

On August 14, 2008, President Bush signed into law the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) aimed at consumer products designed or intended primarily for children ages 12 and younger (“children’s products”). Read the APA's official statement on this here.

The APA released the results of the 2008 APA Consumer Survey and the 2008 APA Sales Survey which were conducted to measure the growth of the audiobook industry as well as gain an accurate picture of listeners’ behaviors. [more]
